I love meeting my girlfriends for happy hour. I love when I get the opportunity to go out for drinks. I typically have wine or cocktails like this Gold Rush Iced Tea recipe or something like Summer Sangria when I am at home. Going out for drinks is exciting because I can sample new cocktails!

I am in love with ginger flavor, which is why I adore Moscow Mule’s, ginger beer has a HUGE amount of flavor. These are one of the cocktails I gravitate towards any time I see them on the menu.

Moscow Mules have come a long way. They are no longer simply flavored with lime, you can have your Mule infused with almost anything!

How To Make Pina Colada Moscow Mule Cocktail

This Moscow mule is embarrassingly simple. Only 4 ingredients are necessary!

To prepare this cocktail, combine rum, lime juice and pina colada mix in two copper mugs filled with ice, stir.

Top each with ginger beer. Garnish with lime slices and pineapple wedges.

Recipe Subistitions:

You can play around with the rum; the coconut rum keeps with the pina colada flavors, but there are so many options when it comes to run these days!

Add a splash of vodka for a more potent cocktail.

Pineapple juice or orange juice can be added to your cocktail.

If you really want this cocktail to taste like a pina colada, add a little coconut water or coconut cream!

Why Are Moscow Mules Served In Copper Mugs?

Cold copper seems to intensify the fizziness of the carbonation in ginger beer, making for refreshing and frangrant cocktail. Many Moscow-mule drinkers also say that the copper cup enhances the all the flavors from the vodka to the lime.

Another reason Moscow Mules are served in copper mugs is the cold metal insulates the temperature of the chilled ginger beer, keeping the cocktail cool and delicious!

If you don’t own copper mugs, no worries. Don’t feel like you cannot enjoy a mule without the mugs; a chilled glass will work just fine! But it is FUN drinking out of those fancy mugs!
