This Kanto Style Beef Pares is for you!

 

Get your pares ready. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan. Next, add the beef fat and cook for 2 minutes. Then add 1 cup chopped onion, 4 cloves chopped garlic and 3 thumbs minced ginger. Continue to saute the ingredients until tender.

Now, you can place the 3 lb beef chuck cut into cubes in a pot. Once you have done this, continue cooking the beef until it reaches a medium-rare color. This process may take up to 5 minutes. Next, pour 3 quarts water into the pot and bring it to boil.

 

Place 3 pieces of star anise into the pot to add sweetness and aroma. For a more flavorful mix, add 1 piece Knorr Beef Cube to the pot. Cover the pot and reduce heat to low. This is the time to be patient. We will let this cook for approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours or until the beef has reached the perfect texture. This helps to integrate all the flavors into the meat and broth.

 

To highlight the flavor of our Beef Pares, add 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, 3 tablespoons brown sugar and salt. These ingredients should be thoroughly combined in the pot. Then, you can start to make garlic rice.

In a large saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons oil. Next, add 5 crushed garlic cloves. This should be added to the pan. Continue cooking until your garlic turns golden brown. Place your 3 1/2 cups of white rice leftover inside. These leftovers are not only newly cooked rice. Place the beef strips you have prepared earlier in a bowl. Add some chopped green onion to finish. In a second bowl, add some chopped green onions to your garlic fried rice. It will be delicious hot straight from the pan and in the pot.

Ingredients

 

Beef Pares ingredients:

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 quarts of water
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 thumbs ginger minced
  • 1 piece chopped onion
  • 4 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 pieces star anise
  • 3 lbs. 3 lbs.
  • 1 piece Knorr Beef Cube
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • Salt to your taste

 

 

Garlic Rice ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons of cooking oil
  • Salt to your taste
  • 3 1/2 cups leftover white Rice
  • 5 cloves garlic

 

 

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a saucepan to make the beef patty. Add the beef fat. Sauté for 2 minutes.

  • Stir in the ginger, garlic, onion and garlic. Sautee the onion until tender.

  • Add the beef. Cook beef until it turns medium brown. This usually takes about 5 minutes.

  • Put water in. Bring to boil

  • Add star anise, Knorr Beef Cube. Turn down the heat and cover the pot. Cook the beef for between 2 and 2 1/2 hours, or until it is very tender.

  • Add soy sauce, onion powder and ground black pepper to the bowl. Season with brown sugar and salt. Stir.

  • Heat oil in a saucepan to make garlic fried rice. Add the crushed garlic. Sauté garlic until golden brown. Add leftover rice. Mix all ingredients together until well combined. Salt to taste. Stir, and cook for 3 to 5-minutes. Set aside.

  • Place beef pieces in a bowl. Top with chopped green onions.
